When the Ugandan government announced a national policy mandating community cleanup every last Saturday of the month, most saw it as a routine civic duty—a few hours set aside to clear weeds, unblock drainage channels, and sweep away rubbish.
For the du’at (Islamic callers) of iERA Uganda, however, it was something far greater: an invitation.
Recognizing the call to stewardship and civic responsibility, the iERA team took the initiative directly into their own hands. Equipping themselves with brooms, hoes, spades, and an unwavering spirit of service, the da’ees stepped into the heart of local communities across the country. Side by side with their neighbors, they rolled up their sleeves and got to work—slashing overgrown grass, digging out congested drains, and sweeping the streets clean under the warm morning sun.
