When Da’wah Reaches the Forgotten Corners

It was around 10 a.m. in the village of Maneto, lake zone Region, when the du’āt from iERA set out for their usual mission visiting homes to share the message of Islam. During their rounds, they met an elderly woman named Mama Mago, who was preparing her lunch. As was their practice, they didn’t pass her by. They approached her with warmth and began explaining the basics of Islam.

Before they could finish, she spoke words that deeply touched their hearts “Thank you, ustadh, for coming to me. I have loved Islam since I was a little girl, but I never had a Muslim to guide me on how to become one.”

This powerful statement revealed a life-long longing. She shared how she had always told her children that one day she would become a Muslim and had prayed to God not to take her soul until she accepted Islam. Two of her daughters had married Muslim men in far-off villages, and they had invited her to come and take shahada but she lacked the means to travel.

By Allah’s mercy, the guidance she had longed for came to her. That day, she embraced Islam with joy and gratitude. Her dream, delayed but not denied, became reality.

Her story is a moving reminder of the power of door-to-door da’wah reaching hearts that have been waiting for years. Alhamdulillah ‘ala ni’matil Islam wa Sunnah.
