In Colombia, Isabella’s path to Islam began with an unexpected encounter that would change the course of her life.
Two years ago, she met a Muslim whose character and faith sparked her curiosity. What started as a simple introduction soon grew into a deeper exploration. As she began studying Islam, the first word that came to her mind was “beautiful.” The teachings resonated with her—the constant encouragement to do good, and the powerful reminder that every individual is accountable for their own actions.
But Isabella did not rush her decision. She wanted certainty. She took her time to learn, reflect, and truly understand. Before embracing Islam, she made it a priority to learn how to pray. Step by step, she practiced until she felt confident. Then, during the blessed month of Ramadan, she took her Shahada.

Coming from a Catholic background, Isabella shares that she had never felt a strong connection with God in her previous prayers. With Islam, however, that connection came naturally. It was as if something within her had finally aligned.
Today, Isabella continues her journey with humility, knowing there is still much to learn. She strives to maintain balance, seeking peace in her daily life while growing in her faith. She also looks ahead with hope—dreaming of building a family and continuing to strengthen her relationship with Allah.
Reflecting on her journey, she says with certainty, “Islam is the best thing that has ever happened to me.”
