During a work visit in Ecuador, José was introduced to Islam for the first time. His initial reaction was one of surprise, but as he learned more about the faith, he became increasingly drawn to its clear reasoning and logical message.
What began as curiosity soon became a meaningful journey of reflection. The more José explored Islam, the more convinced he became that its teachings made sense. This search for understanding eventually led him to pronounce the Shahadah and embrace Islam.
For José, accepting Islam was not simply a change of belief. It marked the beginning of a personal transformation. He has already begun changing certain habits and becoming more conscious of God, while developing a deeper sense of respect and awareness of his Creator.
When asked to describe, in a single phrase, what Islam has brought into his life, José chose the words: “Awakening of consciousness.”
His journey is only beginning, but his story is a powerful reminder that a simple introduction to Islam can open the door to profound reflection and lasting change. May Allah strengthen José in his new faith, increase him in knowledge and understanding, and keep him firm upon the truth.
