He worship Death.

What began as a personal search for truth culminated in a beautiful moment at the Dawah Centre in Mexico, as Carlos took his Shahadah and entered Islam. Surrounded by brothers and supported by the Dawah team, Carlos publicly declared his testimony of faith, first in Spanish and then in Arabic: Ashhadu an la ilaha illa Allah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan rasulullah.

Carlos’s journey to Islam was not a sudden one. For a period of his life, he had followed beliefs that were common among the people around him, including the worship of the Angel of Death. However, deep within him, he felt that something was not right. The idea of worshipping death did not sit comfortably with him, and this inner discomfort became the beginning of a deeper search for truth.

As he explored different beliefs and searched for answers, Carlos eventually encountered Islam. Something about the message immediately captured his attention and sparked his curiosity. Rather than simply accepting what he had been taught previously, he wanted to learn, ask questions, and understand Islam for himself.

His search eventually led him online, where he looked for a Dawah Centre in Mexico. At the time, he did not even realise that such a centre existed. By simply searching online, he discovered the Dawah Centre and made contact with Brother Rafael, who supported him and encouraged him to visit. Carlos came to the centre, met the Muslim community, listened, learned, and experienced Islam firsthand.

Alhamdulillah, what Carlos discovered resonated deeply with him. His questions and search for truth led him to a place where he felt that the message of Islam was true and meaningful. That journey culminated in his Shahadah, surrounded by brothers who welcomed him into the Muslim community.

Following his Shahadah, the support did not stop. Brother Rafael immediately began helping Carlos take his first steps as a new Muslim, teaching him how to perform wudu and how to pray. This moment reflects the importance of Dawah that goes beyond simply conveying the message—it is also about supporting people as they begin their new journey with Islam.

Carlos’s story is a powerful reminder that guidance can come after a long and unexpected search. A simple online search led him to a Dawah Centre, a conversation opened the door to learning, and that learning ultimately brought him to the Shahadah. Alhamdulillah, Allah guides whom He wills, and the role of Dawah is to make the message available with sincerity, patience, and care.
