As the month-long Dawah programme came to an end, iERA Duat prepared to take a break and re-energise for their next mission. However, their departure was not going to be an ordinary farewell, as the new Muslims who had spent the month attending Islamic classes organised a special graduation ceremony to appreciate the Duat for their dedicated service and the knowledge they had imparted.
During the graduation ceremony, the new Muslims, guided by their Village Amirah, demonstrated some of the key Islamic teachings they had acquired throughout the month. These included practical demonstrations of Wudhu (ablution) and Salah (prayer), showcasing their understanding of the fundamentals of Islamic worship.
In an emotional appeal, the new Muslims asked the iERA Duat not to leave permanently but to continue visiting them and providing more Islamic knowledge to strengthen their understanding and practice of Islam.
The occasion also marked an important transition as the District Head joined the Duat in officially handing over the new Muslims to the local Muslim leadership for continued guidance and support.
Following the handover, the new Muslims were lined up and introduced to various Muslim leaders, including the County Sheikh, different Imams and other respected members of the Muslim community, under the leadership of the County Sheikh. The initiative was aimed at establishing a lasting connection between the new Muslims and their local Muslim community to ensure continuity in their Islamic learning.

To make the ceremony more engaging and memorable, the iERA Duat organised various games and recreational activities, adding excitement to the occasion and creating an opportunity for the new Muslims to celebrate their achievement.
In her remarks, the District Head thanked the new Muslims and all those who participated in the month-long Islamic classes. She encouraged the graduates to remain committed to seeking Islamic knowledge and practising what they had learnt, even after the departure of the iERA Duat.
Meanwhile, the Village Amirah expressed gratitude to the iERA Duat for their tireless efforts in nurturing the new Muslims and contributing to the growth of Islam in their village. She appreciated their dedication, guidance and commitment throughout the month-long programme.
The ceremony concluded on a note of appreciation, encouragement and renewed commitment, as the new Muslims demonstrated that the end of the classes was not the end of their learning journey, but rather the beginning of a new chapter in their Islamic lives.
Through the handover to local Muslim leaders, the programme seeks to ensure that the new Muslims continue receiving guidance, support and knowledge as they grow in their faith.
