The IERA team is excited to announce Islam 101 classes for trainers and mentors, a unique opportunity to learn how to teach the basics of Islam to new Muslims. These classes are designed for anyone who wishes to share knowledge effectively, with guidance on approaching new learners with clarity, compassion, and confidence.
The program will be held at MIYC, 38 Webster Lane, Papatoetoe, every Tuesday from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and there is no fee to participate. For those unable to attend in person, the classes are also available online via Zoom, allowing participants to join from anywhere. Classes will run simultaneously in-person and online over a period of seven weeks.

Participants will receive practical training on teaching essential Islamic concepts, engaging students, and creating a supportive learning environment. The course emphasizes both knowledge and mentorship, equipping trainers to make a positive impact on the lives of new Muslims.
Registration is easy—interested individuals can use the provided QR code or contact IERA via phone or email for more information. The initiative reflects IERA’s mission to empower communities and spread understanding through education and guidance.
As the program emphasizes, “Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim,” and these classes provide an accessible, structured way for trainers and mentors to fulfill that important responsibility while supporting others on their spiritual journey
