From Conversations to Commitment: A Transformative Week in New Zealand

Between 6–12 April, the iERA NZ team witnessed a week filled with energy, growth, and meaningful milestones—where conversations turned into connections, and connections into commitment.

Across مختلف communities, the message of Islam was shared with 200 individuals, each interaction planting a seed of understanding. Among them, one person embraced Islam and took their Shahadah, a powerful reminder that even a single moment of sincerity can change a life forever.

Education played a central role throughout the week. With four Islam 101 classes conducted, new seekers and Muslims alike were given the space to learn, ask questions, and deepen their understanding of the faith. Alongside this, four new Muslims were supported, ensuring they did not walk their journey alone. One individual also received dedicated mentorship, strengthening their foundation and confidence.

The team also focused on empowering others to carry the message forward. A dawah training session was conducted, alongside a public speaking engagement, equipping individuals with the tools and courage to share Islam effectively. Behind the scenes, four stakeholder meetings helped build partnerships and strengthen future efforts.

The week was further elevated by a series of special events. A beautiful Nikah ceremony was conducted for a revert sister, marking not just a union of two individuals, but the continuation of a journey grounded in faith.

At the FIANZ Eid Gala, dawah efforts reached a wider audience, bringing Islam into meaningful conversations during a moment of celebration. Meanwhile, learning and training were revitalized with the relaunch of “Tuesdays with iERA” via Zoom, creating an accessible space for ongoing dawah training. The Dawah Trainers Program also resumed on Sundays, setting the stage for long-term growth and impact.

This week in New Zealand was not just about numbers—it was about movement. A movement of hearts opening, knowledge spreading, and a community steadily building strength, one sincere effort at a time.
