At the vibrant Eid celebrations held at Porchester Islamic Centre, the iERA NZ team was given a valuable opportunity to set up a dawah stall—turning a festive gathering into a space of meaningful connection.
As visitors passed by, many were drawn not just by the display, but by the warmth and openness of the conversations. Copies of the Qur’an were generously distributed, reaching hands that were curious to learn and understand. Yet beyond the materials, it was the dialogue that truly stood out.
The team engaged with non-Muslim neighbours in sincere and respectful conversations—listening, clarifying, and gently addressing misconceptions about Islam. Questions were welcomed, and answers were shared with wisdom and care.
In those moments, something deeper was taking place. Seeds were being planted—seeds of understanding, of curiosity, and perhaps even of guidance. Hearts softened, perspectives shifted, and bridges were built.
It was a reminder that dawah is not only about numbers, but about connection. And at this Eid Gala, through simple yet sincere efforts, a lasting impact was made—by the permission of Allah.
