Zaravna Isabel Colombia
Zarevna Isabel is a 29-year-old Colombian dressmaker who found everything she had heard about Islam was negative until she became friends with a Muslim through social media and in her words felt that being Muslim was the best thing that had ever happened to them.
Her friends invited her many times to go to the nearest Mosque, so she googled and found a contact to communicate with on WhatsApp. He remembers being politely answered and finally able to visit the Mosque. There she was received, told about Islam, answered her questions, and felt a strong desire to do the shahada. Since then, her life has been transformed:
“I feel so much peace, I read the Quran with more understanding, I am afraid to show my body. I want to change even more, I know it won’t be easy but I want to do it step by step.”
Peace is the word that now defines his life: “much peace”. She’s the one to the right of the photo with the flowery jilbab next to Sara, our volunteer in that city.
